Supply lines, air support and amphibious or airborne operations make a plan depend on more than the target hex. The game supports AI opponents, hotseat and play by email, so solo scenarios can introduce the shared-resolution rules before a human match. Start with a smaller scenario rather than the long Normandy campaign. Its counters and manual demand more study than the squad games above.
