Long Bright River (2020)

Two sisters occupy the same Philadelphia streets very differently: Mickey patrols them as a police officer, while Kacey lives with addiction. When Kacey disappears amid a series of killings, knowing Kensington does not mean that Mickey can read it without bias or obtain every answer. Moore makes the overlap between a police beat and a family's history central to the search. A substantial, compassionate novel with painful material about addiction, exploitation and institutional failure.
