Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016)
Movie
Released
A foster boy and his reluctant adult companion become an accidental fugitive partnership in the New Zealand bush. Their conflicting versions of independence make a useful conversation about when accepting help becomes a strength. The deadpan jokes are inviting, but bereavement, guns and the pressures of foster care keep the adventure from being entirely gentle.
