Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (2022)
Movie
Released
A tiny shell's everyday inventions are funny enough to make the miniature world inviting before its loneliness becomes clear. Marcel's search for community offers a good way to discuss the difference between being seen online and being properly known. The mock-documentary format is accessible, but the grandmother's frailty and bereavement give the sweetness real weight.
