Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive (2022)

The main campaign follows sixteen days of the Ardennes offensive, using kilometre hexes, battalion-scale formations and four turns per day, including night. Roads, fuel, weather and the ability to keep formations supplied give the winter offensive its shape. Smaller St Vith and Bastogne situations offer a more manageable first study than the entire map. This is a detailed operational game with substantial rules to learn. Its appeal is examining why a promising advance becomes difficult to sustain, rather than treating a famous offensive as a succession of evenly balanced encounters.
