The Jane Austen Book Club (2007)

A reading group finds Austen's novels becoming awkwardly relevant to its members' present relationships. The pleasure is the combination of books, repeated meetings and people learning to listen beyond their first interpretation. Marital strain and bereavement enter the conversation, but the group offers a recognisable form of continuing company.
