DoDonPachi Resurrection (2008)

The PC package's Novice mode is a friendlier route into laser fire, screen-clearing hypers and shifting mechanical bosses than starting on the regular arcade rules. Automatic bombing can help, but its behaviour depends on your ship style and it still consumes a resource. Spend time with one ship and style before adding Black Label or the Arrange variations. Choose this for learning how offence can clear a route through danger; the many menu choices are the initial complication.
