The Reflector gives a newcomer a defensive button as well as a movement test: absorb energy shots, then release the stored attack. Select Easy while learning which threats it can handle. The guard meter is limited, and physical obstacles or attacks outside its protection still need dodging, so the central idea remains useful rather than turning into permanent invulnerability. Ship upgrades add another form of help. A good horizontal option if you want a focused adventure alongside gentler shooting.
