Gunvein (2022)

Choose Standard mode on Mild for a first playthrough. Its checkpoints and shop turn a failed section into another manageable attempt, while tutorials explain skills that arcade games often expect you to know already. Lock-on attacks leave more attention for steering. Arcade is the separate single-credit challenge, not a requirement for enjoying the game. This is the clearest starting point here if a first evening should produce progress rather than repeated trips back to stage one.
