Begin with the Basic tutorial operations, then progress through Intermediate and Advanced material instead of opening a large brigade battle first. Separate scenarios and written lessons introduce the command system, supporting weapons and specialist tasks. Map overlays, range information and the previous-resolution replay help connect an order to the action that followed. Current updates have also corrected tutorial documentation and scenario issues. It is still a dense simulation of a hypothetical Cold War conflict, with unequal command cycles rather than ordinary alternating turns. Choose it when studying delays and standing orders is the learning goal.
