Small, busy districts in 1988 Tokyo and Osaka hold an extraordinary density of shops, nightlife and side stories. The pleasure comes from learning a few streets rather than conquering a vast map. Its tonal leaps from serious crime to ridiculous diversions are part of the appeal, alongside plenty of fighting.
