Satya Nandan (1936-2020) was a Fijian diplomat and lawyer specialising in the law of the sea. He participated in negotiations on the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and its 1994 implementation agreement, and served as the first Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority from 1996 to 2008.
