A search for a musician sends young men across Mexico City during the 1999 university strike, turning drift into an uneven education in belonging. Alonso Ruizpalacios uses their comic disagreements to keep the journey from becoming a lecture. The city keeps presenting different social rooms and rules. Its wandering structure is the pleasure, although a viewer wanting a tightly efficient quest may find the detours frustrating.
