Perfect Days (2023)
Movie
Released
Hirayama's cleaning rounds make Tokyo visible through maintenance, repeated stops and the small differences between working days. Wim Wenders gives public toilets, trees and neighbourhood habits the attention usually reserved for a grand landmark. Kōji Yakusho's listening keeps the routine from becoming a lifestyle slogan. It is one man's carefully framed Tokyo, not proof that every urban pressure disappears through appreciation.
