TV Shows Everyone Should Try at Least Once

A starting shelf for curious viewers, rather than a test of how much television you have seen. These are shows with a clear reason to try them: a fresh way of telling a story, people you want to spend time with, or something worth discussing afterwards. Most come from the past two decades, with a few earlier series whose appeal reaches well beyond their influence. For an easy first step, try The Good Place or Derry Girls. Choose Severance for a puzzle, Pachinko for a family saga, or The Pitt for immediate, demanding drama. The darker choices are here for their insight, not because difficult viewing automatically means better television. This is a set of different doors to open, not a ranking that asks everybody to share the same favourites.
