TV Shows That Make You Feel Part of the Gang

Sometimes the main reason to start another episode is wanting to spend more time with the people in it. These groups earn that feeling through repeated rituals, shared places, private jokes and the work of staying loyal when somebody becomes inconvenient. New Girl and Grand Crew offer an easy place to hang out. Community and Derry Girls let foolish plans become shared history. For a more adventurous version, try the live-action One Piece, Leverage or Avatar: The Last Airbender. These are not groups who agree about everything, and warmth does not mean every story is light. The attraction is gradually knowing who will make the joke, who will quietly help, and who will need everybody else to turn up.
