Starman (1984)
Movie

An alien taking the form of a widow's husband is an unsettling basis for a road romance, and Karen Allen gives that discomfort proper weight. Jeff Bridges' tentative movements let companionship emerge through small acts of learning. John Carpenter makes the journey appealing through the difference between replacing someone lost and allowing an unexpected connection to begin.
