Ending spoilers. The FBI agent chasing the magicians turns out to be their organiser, pursuing revenge for his father's death. The motive supplies a destination, but his apparently baffled pursuit often feels staged for us rather than necessary for his colleagues. The heists have a brisk, showman's charm; the reveal asks that charm to cover a large gap between a convincing performance of confusion and a convincing secret plan.
