Back to Life (2019)

Miri returns home after prison to find that every ordinary interaction contains a version of what people think she did. Daisy Haggard finds absurdity in the attempts to resume normal life, while the stigma remains consequential. The humour has more compassion than Nighty Night, but violence, shame and grief sit underneath it. A strong choice for bleakness that still allows a person to change.
