Barry (2018)

A hitman's acting class lets him imagine he is becoming a different person while he keeps making other people pay for the old one. Bill Hader's stillness makes the self-deception funnier and more frightening than a parade of wisecracks. The series grows considerably bleaker and more violent; choose it for the collapse of an excuse, rather than a lovable criminal's redemption.
