Back to Life (2019)

Miri returns to her parents' home after eighteen years in prison and must rebuild an adult life under intense local scrutiny. Finding work and making a friend become substantial steps because the past cannot be put away on request. The British comedy-drama has real compassion beneath its darkness. Choose it for a restart constrained by stigma, with shame and violence still consequential.
