The articulated lorry really goes end over end, propelled by a powerful mechanical rig developed by Chris Corbould's effects team. Digital removal hides the machinery in the finished shot. Its force lands because the surrounding convoy chase has already taught you where the vehicles and obstacles are. A large-scale effect and stunt operation becomes a concise punctuation mark in Batman's pursuit, rather than an isolated explosion asking for applause.
