Tenet (2020)
Movie

The close combat is an odd feat of bodily coordination: performers learned movements forwards and backwards so that opponents could appear to occupy different directions of time. Stunt coordinator George Cottle and fight coordinator Jackson Spidell developed the choreography with extensive rehearsal. John David Washington's effort supplies a tangible anchor for the concept. The storytelling can be disorientating, but watching a familiar movement behave wrongly is a remarkably direct pleasure.
