The Legend of Drunken Master (1994)

The finale with Ken Lo is a feast of changing rhythm: extended kicks force Chan's character to find new angles, levels and timings rather than simply hit harder. Chan described taking months over the fight so that its movements would flow even without sound effects. The broader period adventure has comic interruptions, but the sustained physical exchanges are the attraction. Often known as Drunken Master II; release versions differ, so favour the original Hong Kong presentation where available.

About The Legend of Drunken Master
Returning home with his father after a shopping expedition, Wong Fei-hung is unwittingly caught up in the battle between foreigners who wish to export ancient Chinese artifacts and loyalists who don't want the pieces to leave the country. Fei-hung must fight against the foreigners using his Drunken Boxing style, and overcome his father's antagonism as well.
