The Raid 2 (2014)
Movie
Released
A car chase becomes more alarming when you can feel what a collision does to the people fighting inside. Gareth Evans worked with Bruce Law's Hong Kong driving team to combine that enclosed brawl with vehicles moving through Jakarta; camera hand-offs help keep the motion flowing. It offers a different physical scale from the kitchen and prison fights. The sprawling crime story takes time between set pieces, and the violence is exceptionally bloody.
