Terry Leonard's work beneath and behind the moving truck makes Indy's escape feel like a series of desperate adjustments. Stunt arranger Glenn Randall helped develop the action and drove for the under-truck work. Spielberg keeps the geography broad enough to follow hands, wheels and the dwindling places to hide. It is older adventure filmmaking with an irresistible comic rhythm, and a useful reminder that a hero's clumsiness can make expertise more exciting.
