Indian Series Across Languages and Genres

Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali and Marathi stories make different kinds of company here. Ekam is the anthology starting point, Ayali offers a young girl's struggle for education, and Kumari Srimathi brings enterprise and family comedy together. Suzhal and Paatal Lok supply darker investigations; Gullak and Pet Puraan work at a more domestic scale. Original languages are identified in the entries, including multilingual productions. This is a set of particular stories worth trying, with regional settings and the characters' choices doing more work than a claim to represent all of India.
