The Triplets of Belleville (2003)
Movie

80 minutes. A grandmother's search for her cyclist grandson becomes a gloriously odd musical rescue. Bodies, machines and cities are stretched into comic shapes, with sound effects and rhythm doing work that dialogue usually handles. Sylvain Chomet gives the adventure enough peculiar detail to feel abundant, while its forward drive keeps the strangeness welcoming.
