The Red Turtle (2016)

81 minutes. A shipwrecked man's efforts to leave an island turn into a largely wordless story about living there. Michael Dudok de Wit's animation lets weather, animals and changing light do much of the storytelling. An entire life seems to open inside its modest duration, making it a good choice for visual immersion rather than rapid plotting.
