169 minutes, standard theatrical version. An explorer's distance from his children becomes measurable through missed years and messages that arrive too late. Christopher Nolan gives the cosmic journey a practical emotional cost, while each new environment changes what the crew can afford. Its declarations are emphatic and its explanations demand attention, but the time allows separation to become the structure of the film rather than a motivational detail.
