The Red Turtle (2016)
Movie

A shipwrecked man's effort to master an island gradually gives way to a different relationship with its rhythms. With almost no dialogue, the film leaves an adult viewer space to contemplate partnership, parenthood and the passing of time through repeated gestures. Its magical turn is best discovered directly. Choose it for patient, concentrated viewing; loss and mortality are part of its calm, never an escape from them.
