Phone Booth (2003)
Movie
Released
Colin Farrell's fast-talking publicist discovers that being surrounded by people offers little protection when only he understands the voice in his ear. The visible street and the invisible sniper create different kinds of pressure at once. Kiefer Sutherland makes pauses and precise instructions do the threatening work. Its moral game is deliberately pulpy, but the shrinking gap between private conversation and public spectacle remains a sharp hook.
