Door Lock (2018)

A bank employee living alone notices signs that somebody may have entered her studio flat. Door Lock makes the small acts intended to establish safety, checking a lock or interpreting a noise, feel laborious when reassurance never quite holds. Kong Hyo-jin grounds the threat in tired, ordinary routines. Choose it for direct, invasive suspense about control over a private room, with the warning that stalking and intrusion are the substance of the film rather than a light mystery to solve.
