King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017)

Guy Ritchie treats a royal origin story as a street hustler's problem, using rapid retellings and argumentative group scenes to puncture the pageantry. That collision is more distinctive than the giant-scale fantasy battles. The tonal jolts and crowded mythology can be exhausting, but a viewer receptive to cheeky ensemble energy may find the dismissed adventure livelier than its reputation.
