Employee of the Month (2006)
Movie
Released
A warehouse store's staff award becomes a contest for prestige, with Dax Shepard's cashier guarding his status like a hereditary title. The outsized importance of a checkout position gives Employee of the Month its strongest joke: a small workplace can contain a surprisingly elaborate court. Dane Cook's rival supplies the challenge to that order. This is the broad, cruder option here, with a thin, objectifying romantic competition; the petty workplace monarchy is more entertaining than the love story around it.
