Populaire (2012)
Movie
Released
A secretarial appointment becomes a competitive typing campaign when an insurance boss spots Rose's speed at the keys. Populaire turns an office skill into a sports-movie obsession, with drills, coaching and the sound of typewriters acquiring improbable grandeur. Deborah François gives the ambition enough spring to carry the candy-coloured period romance. Choose it for cheerful professional tunnel vision rather than a realistic office comedy; the boss's controlling coaching and the retro gender assumptions need some tolerance.
