Chicago (2002)

Roxie's imagination turns publicity, justice and murder into competing stage acts. That framing gives the songs a sharp purpose: she sees attention as the prize worth winning. Choose it for cynical comedy and precise staging rather than an earnest invitation to sing along; the glamour belongs to an ugly system.
