Sexy Beast (2001)
Movie
Released
Ben Kingsley's Don Logan arrives at a retired criminal's Spanish home as though refusal were an insult to the laws of nature. His clipped repetitions and refusal to respect a pause turn recruitment into psychological occupation. Sexy Beast is especially effective if you want a short, concentrated collision between someone protecting a life and someone who will not acknowledge its boundaries. The grotesque comedy never makes Logan safe company.
