The car conversation is the deciding scene for Michael Keaton's Vulture. Without the flying equipment, he turns ordinary adult politeness into a test that Tom Holland's Peter has no comfortable answer to. Keaton's economical glances make Adrian Toomes more alarming than another aerial attack could. Peter's teenage panic is beautifully played, but the antagonist controls the temperature here. The household connection is best discovered without further explanation.
