Loki's most interesting weapon in Thor is the pause before he tells another person what they want to hear. Tom Hiddleston makes the younger brother's desire for recognition visible inside a controlled public manner. Chris Hemsworth gets the more straightforward passage from arrogance towards responsibility; Loki keeps changing what his apparent restraint means. This is his antagonistic role in the 2011 film, rather than a judgement imported from later adventures.

About Thor
