Demolition Man (1993)

Wesley Snipes makes Simon Phoenix seem delighted by the future that Stallone's John Spartan finds irritating. His loose movement and amused aggression give the escaped killer a wicked adaptability, while the policeman approaches unfamiliar customs like fresh obstacles. Snipes supplies the unpredictable comic charge inside the violence. The film's satire depends on both men being disruptive, but the antagonist looks as though he might enjoy any new rule he can break.
