Mrs. Davis (2023)

A nun sets out to destroy an algorithm that seems to have made itself indispensable. Betty Gilpin gives the increasingly absurd quest a stubborn emotional centre, turning the question of freely chosen purpose into something funny and personal. This is a much louder comic adventure than Severance, with religious imagery and extravagant detours. Try it for the human resistance to an apparently benevolent system.
