Devs (2020)

A software engineer investigates a secret division of her employer after her boyfriend disappears. Alex Garland makes the campus feel both inviting and unnervingly devotional, with Nick Offerman's founder at its centre. The connection to Severance is the corporate permission to investigate other people's lives. This limited series is slower, more solemn and more preoccupied with determinism than office comedy.
