The Matrix Resurrections (2021)

The September 2021 US first trailer lets Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit organise a return through pills, mirrors and troubling recognition. Neo and Trinity meeting again becomes a mystery with an emotional pull before the machinery has been explained. The feature's overt discussion of sequels and intellectual property is a deliberate choice, and its romance has real feeling. The trailer is the more inviting object if you prefer that reunion suspended between recognition and uncertainty.
