The River (2012)

A missing wildlife presenter draws a documentary crew into an Amazonian search, where recording an experience does not mean understanding it. Found-footage conventions become part of the question about outsiders taking stories from a place. The short American series mixes uncanny encounters with sudden shocks; its eight-episode run leaves the larger expedition unfinished.
