Submarine (2011)
Movie
Released
Oliver treats his romantic life as though careful narration might give him control over it. Craig Roberts makes that self-importance amusing while the Welsh setting keeps family unhappiness close. Richard Ayoade's visual flourishes suit a teenager staging his own importance, but the better jokes expose what his version leaves out.
