Julie's possibilities keep multiplying while her decisions acquire consequences she cannot charmingly postpone. Renate Reinsve makes uncertainty attractive and occasionally exasperating. The Oslo setting and chapter structure give an adult coming-of-age story room for work, desire and grief, without suggesting that indecision excuses every hurt.
