Get Shorty (2017)

A criminal's move into film production makes pitching, budgeting and persuading a difficult collaborator part of the suspense. Miles Daly can solve one problem through intimidation while creating several that require a different kind of judgement. The 2017 television version is a useful choice for the pleasure Saul takes in process, with humour coming from incompatible professional cultures rather than a constant supply of punchlines.
