The Messenger (2009)
Movie
Released
Two soldiers notify families of deaths, making a doorstep and a pause before speaking the film's crucial spaces. Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson give the professional routine different forms of strain. The characters are fictional, and the story stays with how war enters civilian homes rather than staging the combat that caused the news.
