Doom Patrol (2019)

People left with extraordinary abilities and difficult bodies form an uneasy household that keeps being drawn into bizarre emergencies. The strangeness is lavish, but shame, control and the need to trust someone give it weight. Across four seasons, the comic-book series offers Fallout's appetite for grotesque invention with a more intimate interest in damaged outsiders. It is often explicit and deliberately unruly rather than a tidy heroic adventure.
